Overview

Standing Together in Times of Loss

Established under Taunet Nelel Incorporated, our Welfare is designed to support members of the Kalenjin community living in Victoria, Australia. By drawing on the values of mutual aid and unity, Taunet Welfare creates a safety net that ensures no family walks through loss alone.

Why Taunet Welfare

Why We Exist

Losing a loved one is emotionally and financially overwhelming. For many families, especially those far from home, the burden can be heavy. Taunet Nelel Welfare was formed in response to this reality — recognising the need for a reliable, structured support system that our community can turn to in times of crisis.

Our goal is to ease the immediate financial pressure following a loss and to honour our culture of standing together during difficult moments. The Welfare promotes community resilience, dignity in grief, and a shared responsibility to care for one another.
